I was born and raised in South Texas, fishing the Lower Laguna Madre and chasing white-tailed deer through the brush country as a kid. Over time, I’ve learned the mid-Texas coast and found real joy in sharing the outdoors with family and friends. My roots are in conventional tackle (spinning reel till I die), but these days I spend most of my time on the water sight-casting to tailing fish with a fly rod.
Some of my favorite fishing spots are Belize, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, the Florida Everglades, and the Keys. Connecting people to the outdoors through Untamed Out is something I hope to carry forward from my family to yours.

I just began hating the RV parks that are filling up the landscape, particularly how it began feeling like I was living in an over-crowded parking lot. Thus I started this project. Fish Camp Rockport is based on the idea that less is more, and it will take a consertaive effort by the private sectors to prevent the eventual take-over of parking lots.
